SABC Men's VIII took part in Nephthys regatta for the first time as a senior crew and got to the semifinals!
They lost against St Johns Boat Club who later went on to win the regatta.
It was an exciting end to Michaelmas term racing and the boys look on track for a good start to Hilary term.

The Novice Men were first drawn against Balliol A. We knew Balliol would likely be stiff competition, but the guys pulled together and rose to the challenge, dispatching Balliol by numerous lengths. Next up we took on LMH A, which were safely dealt with. After a quick turn around we faced Wolfson A in the quarter-finals. Neck and neck at the start of boat house island, St Anne's Novice Men dug deep to power away from the competition, even after a blade clash caused by Wolfson.
Without time for a break, St Anne's Novice Men rowed straight back to the start of the coarse to line up for a show down against Brasenose A. Brasenose took full advantage of the staggered start and managed to stay just ahead to narrowly snatch victory away from St Anne's. After 4 solid performances and ending as semi-finalists, hopes are high for Christ Church Regatta.

Today was a great day for the women's novices who got through to the final, beating Univ, New and Brasenose on the way. The final race was very close with St Anne's rapidly gaining on Lincoln, just a canvas separating them at the finish line!
The ladies rowed very strongly and were well deserving of their second place position, especially considering the little amount of time they had to recover between each race! We're so excited to show Christ Church Regatta what we can do next week!
